ABOUT ME
Giovanni is an award-winning independent filmmaker and a Cornell University graduate. He has been a writer, producer, and director on multiple films and commercials. In 2019, Giovanni wrote and directed the short film War Cellar, an Italian period piece set in Rome during the height of World War II.
In 2020, Giovanni followed up with the award-winning TailorShop, a story about a tailor who relives the memories of an old love as he prepares to retire and sell the shop he once called home. In 2022, Giovanni furthered his success as the writer and producer of the acclaimed film, The Keys.
His script, Taxi King, was recognized as a finalist at the Big Apple Film & Screenplay Festival and reached the quarterfinals at the ScreenCraft Festival. Another screenplay, The Hotel, is currently a semi-finalist at the ScreenCraft Feature Festival.
In addition to his filmmaking career, Giovanni has significant experience in the tech startup world, with roles at Athena Technology, PurpleTrader, and various consulting projects. At Athena Technology, he served as a business and operations analyst, focusing on strategic process improvements, marketing, and quality enhancement. He played a key role in creating frameworks for data and financial reporting systems and assembling an operational support team. At PurpleTrader, he leveraged his creative and strategic skills to develop a compelling YouTube series and a "Crypto Token Ecosystem" report, resulting in a remarkable 2000% increase in user sign-ups.
Additionally, he has consulted for various startups, small businesses, musicians, and filmmakers, offering expertise in marketing, pitching, content creation, and strategic development.
